In northern Haiti, life moves with urgency and purpose—along mountain paths to market and school, across rivers and winding roads, through communities shaped by beauty, resilience, and history. Our work centers on Borgne, a rural, mountainous region where local leaders draw on indigenous values to build sustainable, community-driven solutions to longstanding challenges in health, education, and opportunity. Far from the political turmoil of Port-au-Prince yet too often overlooked, Borgne is a place where progress is being built from within—and where women and girls carry the knowledge and leadership essential to a brighter future.
